Loan calculator for Switzerland
The eny Credit loan calculator calculates the monthly instalment and total loan costs from the desired amount (CHF 1'000 to CHF 250'000) and the term (6 to 120 months). The annual percentage rate is between 4.90 % and 9.90 % and depends on creditworthiness. The result is a non-binding estimate, not a credit commitment.
How does the loan calculator work?
You enter two values: the desired amount in francs and the term in months. Both fields can be typed in as a number or set with a slider. In addition, you can switch on the “Incl. payment protection insurance” option.
The calculator then shows the monthly instalment in CHF and the total loan costs. If the payment protection insurance is active, its share is shown separately. Use is free of charge and requires no account. The calculator itself does not query any data at the ZEK; the credit capacity and creditworthiness assessment only takes place as part of an application.
| Input field | Value range | Type of entry |
|---|---|---|
| Desired amount in CHF | CHF 1’000 to CHF 250’000 | number field or slider |
| Term | 6 to 120 months | number field or slider |
| Incl. payment protection insurance | can be switched on | option |
| Result | What the value tells you |
|---|---|
| Monthly instalment in CHF | the amount you would pay per month |
| Total loan costs | all costs of the loan over the chosen term |
| Share of payment protection insurance | the share of the premium in the monthly instalment when the option is active |
What the result tells you — and what it does not
The result is a non-binding estimate based on the values you have entered and an assumed interest rate. It is not an offer and not a credit commitment.
You only know your actual interest rate after the assessment of your application, because it depends on your creditworthiness. Until then the calculator works with a value within the range of 4.90 % to 9.90 %. The interest rate used for the calculation is stated directly next to the result.
Which terms apply at eny Credit?
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| Loan amount | CHF 1’000 to CHF 250’000 |
| Term | 6 to 120 months |
| Annual percentage rate | 4.90 % to 9.90 %, depending on creditworthiness |
| Statutory maximum rate for cash loans under the Swiss Consumer Credit Act (KKG) | 10 % (since 1.1.2026) |
| Payment protection insurance | can optionally be switched on |
| Provisional credit decision | usually within around 3 minutes after submission; not a binding credit commitment |
| Early repayment | possible at any time with KKG contracts |
| Lender | eny Finance AG, domiciled in Zurich |
The statutory maximum rate and the maximum rate applied by eny Finance are two different values: for cash loans that are subject to the KKG, no more than 10 % has been permitted since 1 January 2026; eny Credit charges no more than 9.90 %. How the statutory cap comes about is explained in the guide article Maximum interest rate for consumer loans in Switzerland.
How is your personal interest rate arrived at?
The interest rate is set individually. eny assesses credit capacity and creditworthiness on the basis of the details relevant to the application. With loans that are subject to the KKG, the credit capacity assessment is required by law; in principle, repayment within 36 months is assumed.
The rate offered depends on the individual assessment. Details are explained in the guide article Credit assessment in Switzerland.
How do the term and the amount affect the costs?
The term shifts the relationship between the monthly instalment and the total costs:
| If you … | Monthly instalment | Total loan costs |
|---|---|---|
| extend the term | falls | rise |
| shorten the term | rises | fall |
| repay early | ends with the settlement | fall |
For that reason, never compare only the monthly instalment; always compare the annual percentage rate and the total costs. The annual percentage rate covers all costs of the loan. A low instalment over a long term can be more expensive overall than a higher instalment over a short one. With KKG contracts you can repay early at any time.
What does the “Incl. payment protection insurance” option mean?
The payment protection insurance is a voluntary add-on. If the option is active, the calculator includes the premium in the monthly instalment and shows its share separately. Without the option, the instalment is pure loan.
Cover, waiting periods, exclusions and the premium are governed by the insurance terms and conditions. Check these before taking out the cover. The insurance is voluntary, is shown separately and is not a condition for a loan.
What happens after the calculation?
The process has three steps:
- Application — you complete the online form.
- Provisional credit decision — after submission you usually receive a provisional decision within around 3 minutes. It is not a binding credit commitment.
- Credit check — credit capacity and creditworthiness are assessed. With KKG contracts the credit capacity assessment is required by law.
- Offer — if the assessment is positive, you receive an offer with your individual annual percentage rate.
Who can apply for a loan?
- Residence in Switzerland
- Employment as an employee
- Swiss citizenship or residence permit B or C
Not covered are self-employed and freelance workers, people without residence in Switzerland and loans to companies. Every application is assessed individually; meeting the requirements does not amount to a credit commitment.

Frequently asked questions
Is the calculation binding?
No. The calculator provides a non-binding estimate based on your entries. A binding offer only arises after an application and a positive assessment.
Which interest rate does the calculator use?
A value within the range of 4.90 % to 9.90 % annual percentage rate. Your personal rate is set after the creditworthiness assessment and stated in the offer.
Which amounts and terms are possible?
Amounts from CHF 1'000 to CHF 250'000 and terms from 6 to 120 months.
Does using the calculator leave a trace at the ZEK?
No. The calculator does not carry out any enquiry and does not require any personal data. A ZEK enquiry only takes place as part of an application.
Why does the monthly instalment fall with a longer term while the total costs rise?
Because the repayment is spread over more months, while interest accrues over a longer period. That is why you should look at the annual percentage rate and the total costs, not at the instalment alone.
Can I repay the loan early?
With loan agreements that are subject to the KKG, early repayment is possible at any time and reduces the interest and costs for the part of the loan period you no longer use.
Do I have to take out the payment protection insurance?
No. It is a voluntary option and not a condition for a loan.
What is the maximum interest rate allowed in Switzerland?
Since 1 January 2026 a maximum rate of 10 % annual percentage rate applies to KKG cash loans, and 12 % to KKG overdraft facilities. The basis is the calculation formula set out in the VKKG.
Granting credit is prohibited if it leads to the over-indebtedness of the consumer (Art. 3 of the Unfair Competition Act, UWG). The German version of this notice is legally binding.
The assessment of your credit capacity is required by law. You can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss Consumer Credit Act (KKG). Right of withdrawal with KKG contracts: 14 days from receipt of the copy of the contract, without giving reasons.
The lender is eny Finance AG, domiciled in Zurich. eny Finance AG reserves the right to pass applications on to credit partners as a credit intermediary within the meaning of the KKG.
